The Android's Astrological Companion
Our Kickstarter for The Android's Astrological Companion is now live!
It's a hybrid art book and short fiction anthology featuring illustrations and stories about android girls inspired by the zodiac. The book is illustrated by Cody and features stories by Megan O'Keefe (Writers of the Future Volume 30), Brendan Cahill (Transformers, Sable & Fortune), Kelly Thompson (The Girl Who Would Be King, Storykiller), Joseph Hewitt, and of course, Cody and myself. Brick and Mortar
We've added some fantastic retail partners this past season!
One of our favorite things to do on vacation to check out local science museums. Seriously, aside from comic book conventions and craft shows, science museums are where you are most likely to find us, nerding out and playing with all the things. So we are absolutely thrilled to announce that our Octo-Pi Mathematics and Penguin Science T-shirts are now available at the Science Museum of Minnesota!
A small selection of our neckties can now also be found at Comics Unlimited in Westminster, CA. We first met them at Wondercon this year when they were running a fundraiser for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, which helps protect the First Amendment rights of comics art creators, publishers and retailers. They are a great local comic shop, doing their part to help the comics community!

Robotic Seahorses and Squirrelly Elegance
September Salutations! We have a couple of new ties designs up in the shop!
Seahorses are magnificent creatures. The scientific name for their genus "Hippocampus" comes from the Ancient Greek "hippos" meaning "horse" and "kampos" meaning "sea monster". We like to picture the Seahorse Roboticus as tiny mechanical sea monsters floating gently along the clockwork mechanikelp.

Nikola Tesla Day
Today is Tesla's 157th birthday! I first learned about Nikola Tesla when I was 19 years old, not from school, but from this:
Suffice it to say, my interest was piqued. Soon after, I read Margaret Cheney's biography "Tesla: Man Out of Time" and became fascinated with the gentleman engineer, his visionary work and crazypants OCD. So today, we're wearing our Tesla Stardust tees and singing our own geek karaoke remix in salute to the rock star scientist who quite literally made the world a brighter place.

Like some cat from Smiljan,
He could shock 'em with current, he could blind 'em with flash
He came on so brilliant man, well heeled but wouldn't shake hands
But where was his death ray
when Edison tried to steal our volts
No A/C power to light us
So bankers messed with his plans and wireless energy was canned
Tesla lived out of time, giving us a better future
The world was too crass
He was the nazz, with a mind sharp as glass
He took it all too far, but boy could he play with sparks
With only love for his pigeons,
