SOPA Strike

Tomorrow, we will be censoring our blog post in support of the SOPAStrike to protest SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act), the misleadingly named and dangerous bills in Congress that would give copyright owners unprecedented power to block or shutdown websites entirely if they are accused of hosting or even linking to infringing content.

These misguided and ineffective bills would give the government and corporations the power to censor the web and effectively break the internet.  Yes, break the internet.  This is how dystopias happen, people.

SOPA has been reportedly been shelved (though is not completely dead), but PIPA is still moving forward.
