Curious Cases for a Good Cause

We're excited about these fantastic laser engraved bamboo iPhone cases designed by Cody for the launch of Mantrastyle's Limited Edition Artist Series.

Mantrastyle makes iPhone cases featuring inspirational designs that reflect a person's mantra.  The cases are made with 100% organic bamboo, a rapidly renewable source that doesn't require pesticides and has a lower overall carbon footprint than synthetic cases.  10% of the proceeds from every case sold online is donated to Freedom House, a non-profit organization that helps survivors of human trafficking.

Nevermore Ties Now in the Poe Museum Gift Shop

We are quite pleased to announce that our Nevermore Raven ties are now being carried in the Edgar Allan Poe Museum gift shop!  The museum was established in 1922 in Richmond, VA and features the world's finest collection of Poe manuscripts, letters and memorabilia.  The museum grounds are gorgeous, you can take a virtual tour on their site.  We'd love to visit some day!  Until then, our fancy ties will have to bask in the Poe-ness for us.

We're heading out for San Diego Comic-Con 2012!!!  We're super excited!  Hence the many exclamation marks!

Something Woodsy, Something Blue

When we were planning our own DIY wedding back in 2009, we came to discover that while brides have an infinite array of wedding fashions to choose from, the groom's attire options are sadly far more limited.  That's what got us started screen printing neckties.  Cody created an illustration representing "Wood, Water & Fire", the theme for our wedding and screen printed ties for himself and his groomsmen.

Since then, we've had the honor of having several grooms use our ties for their own weddings, which brings unto us great joy.  We've decided to begin offering wedding tie sets, starting with two of our most popular designs.

Monkeys and Replicants

We've got a couple of new tie designs up in the shop!

Our Replicant Tie is a homage to Bladerunner, the quintessential cyberpunk future noir film and one of our favorite all-time movies.  Roy Batty's "Tears in Rain" death scene (played by the magnificent Rutger Hauer) had a such huge impact on me as a kid, ensuring I would be obsessed with robots and posthumans pretty much forever.

Being a monkey is hard work, hence our Serious Monkey Business tie.  There are kittens to battle, trees to climb, and bananas to steal from your house.

The Ballad of Rose and Thorn

Cody has a new painting up at Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco for their 2nd Annual "Menagerie" ASPCA Benefit Show:
